Dr. Nagesh has served as the Vice Chancellor since January 2021, and prior to that, he was the Acting Vice Chancellor from January 2019. His tenure has been marked by innovative reforms and developmental initiatives aimed at raising the university’s national and international profile. His leadership has helped the university align its courses with UGC guidelines, bringing modernization and structure to various academic programs.

2. Registrar, Karnataka State Dr. Gangubhai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru (March 2018-January 2021)

2. Organizing National Seminars and Cultural Events: Under his leadership, the university has hosted national seminars on performing arts, such as the event held on World Theatre Day. The selected papers from these seminars have been published, enriching the academic discourse on performing arts.

3. Infrastructure Development: Dr. Nagesh undertook efforts to modernize university infrastructure by renovating buildings, constructing cottages for students, and building an indoor auditorium to host university events. 6. Cultural Initiatives: Every year, Dr. Nagesh has overseen the organization of the state-level cultural festival in honor of Dr.Gangubai Hangal. He has also launched the university’s quarterly magazine, Kala Vahini, which publishes articles on university activities and performing arts.
